About the Course

The 4-year full-time B.Tech program is offered by the Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering & Technology at MRIIRS. The AICTE Model Curriculum has been used to benchmark the study plan. Training and education are aligned to bring about a sustainable, environmentally-conscious generation that will be able to enter the global workforce. The core consists of fundamental sciences and Civil Engineering subjects that cover current industry needs and provide foundational knowledge. The entire course is spread over 8 semesters with sufficient lab exposure and industrial training. It can be divide into four modules after the 2nd, 4th, and 6th semesters.

Civil Engineering (Hons.) with a specialization in Smart Cities

The COVID-19 pandemic caused havoc around the world. The Indian Government launched the Smart Cities mission as an emergency response to the pandemic. This mission enables cities to use technology to improve citizen services and quality of life. Smart cities require smart infrastructure and smart businesses. The infrastructure of the cities must be upgraded and managed using Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). The future connected city will include smart buildings, zero-energy buildings, smart water systems, smart electricity grids, waste management protocols and other mobility solutions. Course Structure Of B.Tech Electrical

The department adopted the Semester System and Choice Based Credit System. There are two main categories of Compulsory Courses, and Elective courses.

Compulsory Courses In B.Tech Electrical

Placement Opportunities

There are many opportunities for electrical engineers in India. You can work as an electrical engineer in various industries such as atomic power plants and hydel and thermal power plants. There are also job opportunities for candidates in Design industries, Production plants, Petroleum industry and Natural gas plants. In the private sector, too. Department of Automobile Engineering (FET).

About Automobile Department

In 2009, the Department of Automobile Engineering was founded. The Department’s Faculty has been involved in Research and Development in the areas of alternative fuels and heat transfer. Their work was published in well-respected National and International Journals and Conferences. They also filed patents in the area they were researching. The laboratory facilities are well-equipped. Students are taught about various topics such as the design of automobile components (both computer-aided and manual), types of fuels and their properties, energy loss in vehicles, the latest technology and standards in engine design and manufacture, air conditioning in automobiles, dynamics and vibration analysis, and vehicle maintenance. On workstations use for vehicle design and development, students are taught software such as ProE and MATLAB.

MRIIRS, in association with Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Private Limited, has established Automotive Training & Research Centre on the University campus to impart high-end skills in the Auto Sector to its students. HMSI will offer technical support for the two-wheeler industry’s constantly changing technologies.

Department of Aeronautical Engineering

About the Aeronautical Department

The Department of Aeronautical Engineering was found in 2008. Since then, it has steadily acquired resources to create a positive academic environment. This aeronautical engineering college offers students lab facilities that include a subsonic open-circuit wind tunnel, its measurement accessories, and a 3-component balance. It also has a 32-channel electronic press scanner, flame propagation apparatus and propeller test set-up. There is also an experimental set-up for measuring shear centre, twist and bending stresses. A diffused light Polariscope can be use for stress analysis. It also houses components and aircraft assemblies for a frontline fighter plane, as well as models of different aircraft and jet engines. The department also has specialized software such as ANSYS. Lab courses are also offer on modelling simulation software such as GAMBIT/ FLUENT and MATLAB.

Educational visits to Air Force bases, industry, and academic institutions are some of the co-curricular activities. The department organizes workshops in aero-modelling and guest lectures from experts from industry/academic universities.

Aeronautical students were placed in DRDO labs like ADE, Bangalore, in organizations such as Mechartes or Zeus Numerix, which are involved in the application and development of Computational Fluid Dynamics; and, in private companies such as TCS, and companies that design and maintain.

B.Tech. Biotechnology
