Things to Check Before Buying CBD Vape Juice

Vaping has become increasingly popular over the last decade or so, where it seems like everyone and their mum are swapping out ciggies or rollies for a vape. Since e-cigarettes were introduced into the American market in 2007, devices and technology have changed rapidly to adapt to consumer demand. The products being sold now are infinitely better than the devices available even a few years ago. What an exciting time to be alive!

But before you get stuck into some happy hour e juice deals, we’d advise of some things to check before buying your CBD vape juice.

One main thing to note is that CBD vape juices come in two types. The first is a pre-flavoured juice which has already been flavoured with CBD and is ready to fill the tank of your vaping device. The second is CBD additives which are purely made of CBD and these can be added to any e-juice of your choice.

Vape device

Look out for vape juice compatibility as many CBD vape juices have been specially formulated for specific vape devices. It’s important that you only buy the vape juice that works for your device.

CBD content

Make sure you check what strength CBD vape juice you’re buying as you don’t want to buy the wrong strength and get a nasty surprise! Most brands and manufacturers will measure CBD content by the milligram and can range anywhere from 25mg to 1000mg. If you’re a beginner, you absolutely must start at the lower end of the scale and build up to a higher strength. Don’t go throwing yourself into the deep end unless you’re a seasoned CBD enthusiast, and even then you should exercise caution! Correct dosing is crucial and it’s important to not overdo it.

THC content

Vape juice will often contain a percentage of THC in it, so if you’re not a fan of the psychoactive properties of THC and are wanting to avoid this, opt for a 100% pure CBD isolate vape juice as these are primarily made with CBD extracted from hemp, so no chances that you’ll get high from it.

VG & PG content

CBD e-liquid is usually infused with vegetable glycerin (VG) and propylene glycol (PG). These ingredients are both thinning agents and give CBD vape juice their viscosity, which is necessary for the vape juice to do its job working with the heater coils in vape pens. PG can cause some health issues, particularly if it is heated up to 230⁰c and above as it turns into formaldehyde vapour. Most manufacturers opt for only VG or a higher percentage VG for this reason.

Guarantee and warranty period

Many brands offer a money-back guarantee if you aren’t happy with your purchase, as well as lifetime warranty on products which means you can shop with confidence and be sure of the quality of the items you buy.

Flavour

Probably one of the most exciting aspects of shopping for vape juice are all of the magical flavours that they come in. Of course some people like to opt for a neutral vape juice so that they can taste the natural flavours of the CBD, but it’s fun to experiment too. Some flavours on the market right now include vanilla, menthol, watermelon, raspberry, caramel and strawberry to name a few, but there are dozens of types from hundreds of brands so we’re sure you’ll find a flavour that you like. You can even mix flavours together if you want to spice things up!

Additives

Some CBD vape juices come with additives, so if you’re wanting to avoid things like nicotine or terpenes, keep an eye out for products that are manufactured without these extra ingredients added in.

Third-party testing

This process isn’t completely necessary, but you’re usually guaranteed a higher quality product if it has been tested by an independent third-party as it means it has been tested in a lab that isn’t owned by the manufacturer.
